On Saturday, the New York Times reported that President Trump’s oldest son, Donald Jr., met with Russian officials in June of last year. This, despite their repeated claims that no such meeting occurred. “What? That?” he said. “That was about some adoption laws. Big deal.”
On Sunday, the Times reported that the Russians had baited Trump Jr. by promising negative information about the Hillary Clinton campaign. “What information?” he said. “There was no promise. Besides, they didn’t come through with information. No story! Fake news!”
Today, the Times reported there is email evidence that Trump had been explicitly told by a Kremlin proxy of the Russians’ aid in helping his father’s campaign. Ten days after the meeting, when asked point-blank by CNN’s Jake Tapper whether anyone from the Trump camp had met with Russia, he flat-out denied it.
Donald Trump Jr. is without a paddle.
