Late today, the Washington Post reported that President Trump disclosed highly classified information to Russian officials who visited the White House last week. In doing so, Trump broke his word with an ally, thus unwinding years of work among intelligence agencies in their fight against the Islamic State.
Security experts, pundits and historians are pouncing. As the White House issues contradicting statements, the president is denying the story. Meanwhile, there are reports that the Trump’s staff turned up all the televisions in the media area, to drown out the shouting match behind closed doors between Steve Bannon and Sean Spicer.
“Trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble. Feels like every time I get back on my feet, she comes around and knocks me down again …”
