LOST IN THE NOISE

April 28 — I’M DOIN’ FINE NOW, New York City (1973)

Rodgers takes a heady spin through the disco years in New York, and weaves in all the culture and subgenres that crosses its path — “Soul Train,” R&B, funk, Studio 54, gay culture, dance clubs, and excess. At age 20, Rodgers played guitar for the band New York City, which released two albums before parting ways. Rodgers and Bernard Edwards then formed Chic, which broke new ground by fusing disco, funk and soul.
