Occasionally the music gods pick the perfect soundtrack for a run. I’m in Chickasaw country for client work, and took a late afternoon run at the massive, beautiful Chickasaw Nation Recreation Area. It’s impressive — 20 miles of trails throughout the 9,000 acres of waterfalls, lakes, camping and vistas. My run was accompanied by a Gram Parsons streaming radio station that brought The Band, Uncle Tupelo, Steve Earle and the late, great Townes Van Zandt. A nice accompaniment to a peaceful run.
