Nearly four years after his death, Jason Molina’s music continues to peek at me from around the corner. It comes quietly, in unexpected places. On satellite radio, when I least expect it but most need it. Via Will Johnston, who opened for Bob Mould last month and previously collaborated with Molina. And this morning, on this homage by the minimalist band Rivulets (pictured), from Duluth, Minnesota, who master Molina’s lonesome, hypnotic timbre.
