There are nights you come home with your spirit soaring, feeling good about what you do for a living. This was one of those nights. We wrapped up another class of the Leadership & Reputation Academy, which I developed for the firm two years ago. More than 150 people have now gone through it, and each class is different. The most distinguishing characteristic of this class was its quiet nature. But tonight, after eight sessions together, that finally changed. Maybe it was the topic of work-life balance that put things in perspective. Maybe it was the wine during the celebratory dinner. Or maybe it’s that it’s the last time the group will be together. And it had a strange, familiar feel: like the last night of summer camp.
