July 7 — MU AFRICA, The Rift Valley Brothers (1970s)

imageIt’s time for the International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe, the largest of its kind in the world, drawing more than 200 artists from 60 countries around the globe. Some, according to its website, are established cultural artists, while others have never left their villages. Tonight — along with our friends Annie, Scott and Bea Ferris — we attended the opening ceremonies in the Plaza, replete with colorful costumes, music and people from around the world. It was quite a feast for the senses.
