Surely these are the strangest, most surreal times in American politics. With Super Tuesday less than a week away, the GOP’s nomination of Donald Trump seems imminent. Four years ago, party leaders licked their wounds, said they learned their lesson. Said they would come back a stronger party, more humble, more open to others. Now they are days away from nominating a misogynist, racist, pathological liar; a man whose lack of diplomacy and respect for mankind threatens our nation.
