img_1685During a 30-minute podcast interview this morning with the New York Times’ “Sound Check,” Steve Earle referenced the Oak Ridge Boys, Robert Johnson, ZZ Top, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Shawn Colvin, Jackson Browne, the Beatles, Memphis Slim, Joan Baez and Howlin’ Wolf. And that’s just what I remember. Here’s a song with New Orleans’ Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
