September 5 — KEEP THE CAR RUNNING, Arcade Fire (2007)

351BC4DE-48B9-4410-B3B6-40B5317BF4A3A story in this morning’s New York Times about an upcoming documentary on the Arcade Fire led to this album during my three-mile run. The Canadian band has always struck me as modern New Wave, parts Tears for Fears, Talking Heads and “Let’s Dance” era David Bowie. I love the build-up at the beginning of this one, followed by the back-and-forth swinging that’s the gateway to the center.
