April 30 — CALL ME THE BREEZE, Lynyrd Skynyrd (1974)

imageAccording to the daily email from Rolling Stone, Eric Clapton has pulled together several friends to record a tribute album to Tulsa native J.J. Cale (pictured), who died last year. It wasn’t until recently that I appreciated Cale, an influence on everyone from Clapton to Dire Straits. He was best known for writing the songs that others made famous, including this one.
